After graduating in Law, the Attorney Smaldino gained significant experience in tax litigation related to agricultural law, and was a lecturer at the school of Vetralla for managers of agricultural cooperatives.
He graduated in 1991 in canon law at the Lateranense University.
In 1994, he obtained the status of a rotary lawyer with authorization to practice before the Roman Rota and the Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signatura.
Since 2009, he has also been a trial attorney of the Court of Cassation.
